Through it longest standing program, Community Changers hosts free or low cost activities during non-school hours for youth. We believe that our youth are the future and they need to be exposed to a variety of cultural and social stimuli to help them become well rounded citizens.  After fourteen successful years of service and influence in Prince George’s County, we are excited to announce our expansion to Charles County Maryland!

Finance Workshops

The people we serve face unique financial circumstances and challenges.  With this in mind, we offer families and individuals programs that offer critical life skills needed to make smart financial decisions.

Parenting Workshops

Our workshops help parents and caregivers deepen their connection to their children and foster self-love, responsibility, resiliency and self-esteem.  This training incorporates unique “biblical principles” to address any parenting challenge.  Our attendees are guaranteed to leave our workshops with new tools that they can begin using immediately.

Providing a saved, safe haven for school children to go before school and after school.  At Community Changers, school aged children will have the nutritious benefit of enjoying healthy meals in the morning geared to energizing their school day and a snack to offset hunger and increase learning for a vigorous homework session in the afternoon.

This program offers a free 8 week summer program for children ages 5-12. The Summer Camp not only provides recreational fun but also enrichment activities focusing on the areas of arts, sciences and history. Also Youth between the ages of 13-17 are encouraged to serve as Camp Counselors. They will receive hands on training; learn how to relate to children indoors and outdoors, relate to peer group, accept supervision and guidance, assist in teaching activities, and develop good character, integrity and work habits. Community Changers wants to take an active role in feeding the hungry.  We know that the answer to ending hunger is not as simple as providing food.  We believe that it will take an extraordinary commitment to address the hunger crisis and will extend an invitation to the community’s local churches, businesses, schools, civic organization and individuals in this effort.  Through this full circle approach, we will find creative and innovative solutions to maximize our effectiveness in the communities we serve.
